Mrs. Ruth D Wright

Ruth D. Wright, 99, of Jasper, entered into rest on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Ridgeview Health Services. Family will receive friends December 16, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Dr. Michael Adams will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Pair; son, Jerry Pair; and second husband, Bill Wright; sisters, Lorene Naramore and Mary Myers; brothers, Chester, Clarence and Dixie Dooley.

She is survived by two sisters, Sue Pesnell and Pauline Baughn; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ruth is the daughter of the late G.W. and Lula Bell Dooley. She was a dedicated Christian lady who was always concerned with a person’s relationship with the Lord. She was active in Jasper 1st Baptist Church for many years and established a scholarship fund in memory of her son Jerry for a deserving high school senior. She could be found every Saturday afternoon calling her class members to check on them. If a family member was sick, Ruth was the first to offer them help. She was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
