Ronald L Webb

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Double Springs, directed by Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1 p.m., at the church with burial at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery #2. Phillip Twilley will officiate.

Ron was born to Lee and Edna Webb in Double Springs on April 14, 1942. He graduated from Winston County High School in 1960. His high school summers were spent working with his Dad on building Highway 278 in Winston County.

In 1961, he joined the Army, after the service, he worked various jobs. In 1965, he joined the National Guard and the local telephone company and was known as “The Telephone Man” in town. In 1974, he married Jan Connell and they had a beautiful daughter, Shana Marie in 1977. Ron retired in 1993 after 28 years and enjoyed fishing and playing golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Edna Webb, Sister, Katherine Webb; brother, Larry Webb.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Webb, daughter, Shana Turner; grandchildren, Kaiti Turner and Gauge Turner; sister-in-law, Cheryl Webb; nephew, Tim Webb (Rebecca); Niece, Kim Miller (Kyle); great nephews, Andrew Webb and J.B. Miller; great nieces, Whitney Webb and Kylie Miller and host of friends.
