Family will be receiving friends on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, from 6 until 9 p.m., at Hunter’s Chapel Holy Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Hunter’s Chapel Holy Church of Christ, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Hunters Chapel Holy Church of Christ Cemetery. Tommy Graves and Sam Cain will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard George Gunter and Mary Florence Gunter; siblings, Roy Gunter, Ruth Gunter Key, Carl Gunter, Lillie Mae Gunter McClain, Gladys Gunter Williams and Mary Gunter Martin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Gunter; children, Paula Gunter Hilley (Joel), Barry Edward Gunter (Pam), Kenneth Lee Gunter (Paige) and Rejahn Gunter Rogers; grandchildren, Barry Chase Gunter (Jordanna), Korilee Gunter Shields (Austin), Abbey Gunter Hallmark (Hunter), Gunter Elliott Rogers, Ava Claire Rogers, William Owen Rogers and Ethan Ray Gunter; great-grandchildren, Barrett Gunter, Beckham Gunter, Lynley

Hallmark, Evelyn Hallmark and Mila Shields; sister, Barbara Graves; brother, Bill Gunter and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
