Omar Truett Faucett, Jr., 85, of Jasper, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at his residence. Funeral service will be Monday, May 20, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Rev. David Byrd will officiate.
Mr. Faucett was born and raised in Northport, AL. He was a long time teacher and golf coach at Walker High School, and a member of Northside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Omar Faucett Sr. and Sarah Hamner Faucett; brother, Tom Faucett of Keswick, VA.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Kathryn “Kathy” Faucett; children, Kathryn Stanford (Jud), and Sara Anne Johnson (Doug); grandchildren Mary Mills Stanford, Abigail Stanford, Hannah Johnson, and Sam Johnson; sister, Sally Cobb of Tuscaloosa, AL.
A reception will follow after the service at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home.
