Glenn Homer Jones

Family will receive friends Monday, October 21, 2019 from 6 till 8 pm at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held at Walker Memory Gardens on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 1 pm. Rev. Howard Thompson will officiate.

Glenn was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He married his wife, Bonnie, in June of 1962 and they celebrated their 57th anniversary this year. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Jasper and always showed the true love of Christ by sharing anything he had with those around him. Glen retired from the U.S. Army after 38 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening, and watching the Alabama Crimson Tide.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Lillie Spain Jones, siblings, Julian Jones, Abner Jones, Alfred Jones, Clyde Jones, Ruby Curtis, Stella Patton, Verbon Jones and Zettie Jones.

He is survived by wife, Bonnie June Cagle Jones, daughter, Tamia Jones, son, Kerry Jones (Hope Lee), and granddaughter Tiffany Brooke Jones Taylor (Preston).

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 770 Highway 5, Jasper, AL 35503.
