Geraldine "Gerry" Sims Stovall Goram

Geraldine “Gerry” Sims Stovall Goram, 90, of Daphne, AL. went home to be with her Lord Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Eastern Shore Rehab and Health Center. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at New River Baptist Church. Service will follow at 11 a.m. at New River Baptist Church. Bro. C.W. Box will officiate. Burial will be at New River Baptist Church Cemetery in Eldridge, AL.

Geraldine “Gerry” Stovall Goram was born in Fayette County, AL. on September 21, 1930, to Arthur and Elsie Sims. She graduated Hubbertville High School in 1953. She worked at Arrow Shirt Factory until the mid-60’s then with the State of Alabama until 2000. She was a member and organist of Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. and active in the Eastern Star Montgomery Chapter 180 for more than 25 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elsie Sims; and sister, Martha Jean Jenkins.

She is survived by her children, Peggy McDonald, Carl Stovall (Gypsy), and Paula S. Bright (Jim); grandchildren, Carla Stovall, Brooke Grout (Julien), Grant Stovall (Kristen), Amy McDonald, Meghan Lazarevic (Vladamir), Angela Bright, and Katheryn Lindsey (Dustin); sister in-law, Christine Perdue; and a host of great-grandchildren along with her church family, Eastern Star family, and wonderful caregivers.
