Bill graduated from Mount Blue High School in 1986 and joined the US Navy the same year. William served faithfully for 21 years with the United States Navy and retired here in Jacksonville 2006. After retirement, Bill worked as a contractor for multiple government agencies. He finished his education with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science.
Bill loved motorcycle rides, going to the hunting camp, fishing, buying all the newest tools, blindly shopping on amazon, spending time with his grandkids, his dog Lola, and sipping his Venti Caramel, whole milk, no foam, extra hot, extra caramel drizzle latte from Starbucks.
Bill is survived by his loving children; Jessica and William, mother of his children; Sandra, grandchildren; Rylee Reese, Phillip Alton, William Royce III. Mother; Gloria Jean, siblings; Joy Welch, Gayle Pease, Michelle Howard, Chuck Richards and Ronald Richards, along with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family.
Bill will be deeply missed, he was an extraordinary man. He will always be remembered in our hearts for his loyalty to his country, his dedication to his family, and his unconditional devotion to his friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm Saturday December 4, 2021 at Fleet Reserve Association Branch 290, 390 Mayport Road Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233. Close family will lay Bill to rest back home in Maine.
In lieu of flowers, please bring a bag of dog food to be donated in Bill's honor to the Humane Society of Jacksonville, Florida.
