Wanda L. Stanley

Wanda L. Stanley, 91, of Jacksonville, FL, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at home. She was born on December 15, 1924 in Axson, GA, and graduated from Pearson High school. Wanda is predeceased by her parents, Claude and Annie Horton, her beloved husband, McCoy “Coy” Stanley, Jr. and her granddaughter, Kim McCormick. Her father was a minister and from his words she grew to love the Lord and her family knew her as their prayer warrior. Wanda went on to become a loving wife and mother of three daughters. The family tradition she loved the most was when the whole family went to the beach for a week-long vacation. She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda McCormick, of Columbus, GA, Sharon (Mike) Horne, and Terri (David) Bledsoe; sister, ClaudeAnnie Miles; 9 grandchildren, Tracy (Steven) Inman, Ray B. McCormick, Ashley Howard, Michael (Renee) Horne, Adam (Shanna) Horne, Stephen (Taylor) Horne, John (Briana) Bledsoe, Grant (Carly) Bledsoe, and Cody Bledsoe; 14 great-grandchildren, Mac, Anna, Abigail, and Carter Inman, LeighEllen and Emilee McCormick, Sawyer Howard, Courtney, Katie, Michael, Sophie, Abbey, and Kyle Horne, and Lydia Bledsoe. Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 10-11am at The Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Interment will be held after the service at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
