Vicki Vining Tipton

Vicki Vining Tipton, 63, of Jacksonville FL Passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022. Service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, Dec 3 at 11:00 in the Mandarin chapel at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville FL. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Royce Burke Tipton, and siblings, Patricia Franklin (David) of Dickson TN, and brother David Vining of Alpharetta GA. Her nephews Jeffrey Franklin (Errin) of Louisville, CO and Steven Franklin (Khadijah) of Marietta GA, Will Vining (Jen) Alpharetta, GA, Kyle Vining (Carol) Atlanta, GA and Tyler Vining (Katie) Atlanta, GA. Her niece Maria Betts (Jason) of Dickson, TN. She also leaves her nieces and nephews-Jenna Betts, Claire Betts, Ashe Franklin Weller, Keith Betts, Miles Franklin and Tahj Franklin, Evie Vining, Allison Vining, Blake Vining and James Vining. They loved spending time with their fun aunt, and she loved them a lot.

She was preceded in death by her parents Flo Vining and Bill Vining (Gerry).

Vicki graduated in 1983 from the University of Georgia and was a Bulldog fan. She married Royce Burke Tipton in 1987. She served in the Coast Guard reserves. She retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers after 30 years in 2014 as a Contract Specialist.

Her favorite pastime was planning and going on cruises. She has traveled to many places like France, Norway, Russia, and of course the Caribbean and Alaska.

In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org)

A celebration of life for Vicki will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
