Tim, it took me a while to get here... I know, you would say, "What took you so long Lou!" with that spirited and exuberant laugh of yours. To find a friend like you is a truly unique experience in life.

During our lives we meet and touch so many souls, some that stay with us and others that go, but you were always there no matter how much time had lapsed or what had gone on with our day to day routines. You had no prejudice and no ill will, you were truly a good person and simply wanted to enjoy life and be in the continuum of time.  

For those that speak about "living in the moment," you exemplified just that principle. Whether it was delighting in a meal, a song or with others, you contemplated and felt that relationship for what it was, again, without judgment. What an inspirational person you were and many a time I modified my thoughts or actions based on what you would think or say--actually, I still do. 

Whether it's buying a tech stock, or taking a moment to look at the ducks in the pond (a la Tony Soprano), I reflect as would you. The power of your thought and voice still resonates with me--thus you're still here as in this photo, with the light shining over you, leading the charge into the unknown. Because, you were just that, a fearless  inquistor. 

Oh, Tim, I long to have your strength and the attributes that allowed you to have such a vast array of friends who always looked to you for inspiration or guidance. I try to be a better person each day by exemplifying how you lived life, by just enjoying the moment. The words of Spinoza ring true when I think of you, "The human mind cannot be absolutely destroyed along with the body, but something of it remains, which is eternal."

Thus, I say, 'a bientot', you are an eternal friend and I am sure we will meet again in some parallel universe where we will sit and laugh again.

So sorry to hear about Tim’s passing… Looking at all the pictures and his warm smile took me back to our high school days… 

He had the same kind look, demeanor and smile at 15! Thanks for not changing Tim….

My deepest condolences during this time. I had the pleasure of working with Tim for many years on LIQ.  He was such a great person, I would call him the calm in the storm. His competence and calm demeanor were key in keeping projects and me on track.  

Thank you for sharing the pictures and family memories, they brought a smile to my heart. 

My prayers will continue to be with you.  May the love continue in your hearts.

I remember someone telling me that celebrating the life of our loved one and the joy that they brought to our lives eases the pain and sorrow.  Happiness comes from the heart and not in the circumstances life throws our way.

Jo and I are so sorry for your loss. Got Great Memories  of Tim back in the Grove Park days! He knew how throw the best Florida /GA Parties!. He will be missed. Prayers to the whole Family!

42 years ago I met Tim while riding Space Mountain --8 times in a row. Years later, I learned that I unwittingly helped him pass 9th grade geometry. In 42 years, we had one bad year--my fault--and 40 consistently supportive, fun-filled, substantial years.  We love Van Halen, the Police, the Gators, and good food, I roomed with him twice, I lived at his family home when I was homeless, I attended countless clubs listening to music I never heard of before, and I've become lifelong friends with countless people I never would have met without Tim. The last year was so hard, so unfair, so draining, but my memories buoy me, all of us. I am so thankful for our family outing last March when Tim was Tim--waking up early for coffee and music at sunrise, savoring great food, bringing loved ones together, and telling me to slow down as the boat slammed against waves. Tim, we miss you and are so thankful to you for bringing us all together in your unassuming, open way, and for all of the incredible experiences and memories we have because of you.

Sending you my deepest and sincere condolences and prayers for your loss. 

Sometimes in our life we get the pleasure of meeting someone that we quickly bond with and are instantly like family. Tim was that for me and many other colleagues at the bank. We all had a unique bond that’s simply rare.

I met Tim around June 2000 working as  DBA at Bank of America. We reported to Theresa Pitts at the time. Tim was my go to person and boy did I go to him a bunch.  😀 He was a technical encyclopedia and had notes and scripts for everything! He was always so helpful, patient and would even take the time to show you some of his tricks to help you out.  We sat across from each other so we had lots of conversations across cubicles and at times Kenneth and Candace would chime in across the cubicle walls. We 4 had lots of great times and memories for sure. The 4 amigos, then is was 5 when Todd L arrived. 😁

I remember when Ben was born, Tim was such a happy and proud dad.  His wife Leland, Ben and immediate family were his world. He spoke of them frequently. 

Tim, Thank you for the indelible mark you have left in so many lives, including my own.  You were more than a colleague; you were a guiding light, a source of inspiration, and a dear friend. While we’ve spoken some over the past few months, I wish that I had made a trip to Jax to see you one last time.  I thought and prayed for you daily and had my Sunday school praying for a miracle.  We don’t always know why but we simply have to trust the Lord knows more and loves us. 

Leland, Ben and the Edwards Family, I’m sorry for your loss and there’s no words that can be spoken to help ease your pain. “Grief is the price we pay for Love”. It’s my prayer the Lord will give you the comfort and peace over the next many months and years as you mourn your great loss. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.  Tim was a wonderful colleague and friend and he will be deeply missed.  John 14:27

I have worked with Tim for several years - we worked so close I used to call him my brother. Even when we were at offsite meetings he would keep the conversations very business oriented and never discussed much of personal details. He will definitely be missed and my deepest condolences to the entire family

Tim was a bright light extinguished too soon. During my time knowing him, I was most struck by his sense of humor and humility. We shared many conversations, laughs, great meals, and music together over the years. There isn’t a restaurant Mike and I go to where we don’t think of Tim—sometimes in terms of food or music enjoyed, and others in terms of padded seating! Tim loved life which he called a gift; he was a gift! <3

Dear Mrs. Edwards  -

With great sadness, I wish to convey my condolences to you, your son and your extended family. Tim was my teammate at work for many years, and though my interactions for the most part were work related, he always spoke about his son with a lot of pride.  

Tim was a great human being, humble and kind and very respectful of others.  He was extremely skilled, talented and a great asset to our team.  At the Bank, all respected his technical acumen and his humbleness and caring nature.  He extended his help to all those who reached out to him at work. When we first heard of his health issue, we were shocked, but all were praying and routing for his full recovery.   We fully expected that the latest medical treatments would cure him completely, but it was not meant to be.  He is in God's hands now and at peace.

Mrs. Edwards, I cannot fathom your unimaginable loss, but I pray that God give you and your son the strength to process this tremendous loss.  With time and support of your family and friends, I hope the intensity of your sadness will be overcome by fondly remembering the beautiful memories you shared with him as a family.   We at work will miss him immensely and will always keep him in our hearts and remember him fondly.  

I wish the very best for you and your son, who I recall will soon be graduating out of High School in a year or so. May the universe manifest all that he desires and hope his wishes and dreams come true. I know he made his dad very proud and will continue to do so.

It is devastating to hear of Tim's passing.  I had no idea he was even sick.  Tim was always kind.  That is all you need to know.  I never once heard him speak ill of others in all of the years that I knew him.  To say he will be missed is an understatement.  The world was just better with him in it.  My condolences to Tim's family.  I can only imagine how this feels.  We will all remember Tim well.

Tim always had a kind word and a warm laugh.  He never hesitated to help and was always entertained to see what was the next joke that I  would pull on Brenda.  He has a special  place in my heart.

I wish you all peace in the world.  Please take comfort in knowing how uniquely special Tim is to so many people.

My sincere condolences; I always enjoyed my conversations with Tim at the office. We discussed all things Jax- how the city has grown and evolved over the years, & work related technical challenges and issues (pertaining to the databases.) 

Tim had a wealth of knowledge and work experience- when speaking to him you could tell that he absolutely loved his role as a Sr. DBA. 

I am very sorry to hear this news of his passing- this is indeed a great loss.

Dear Edwards family:
I cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss.  I had the privilege to meet Tim many years ago while attending a training class in Concord, California.
The class lasted only five days, but during that time I was able to interact with Tim and see that he was a kind gentle individual.

My only regret is not having been able to get to know Tim more.  

Mrs. Edwards and son, my prayers and sentiments are for you and the extended family.   May God give you the grace and peace to go thru this very lonesome valley while you grieve the lost of your husband and son.

I am so sorry to hear about Tim’s passing.  We had good times working together as DBA’s and also talking Gator sports.
