Thomas Allen Dominy, 83 passed away on Monday August 19, at St. Vincent's Hospital. Mr. Dominy was a native of Fort Wayne, IN, having moved here with his parents in 1965. He was a computer operator, having worked 20 years at Barnett Bank and retiring with BoA. He was drafted into the Army in 1963 and posted with 2d Battalion 33d Armor (Tigers) at Ayers Kaserne, Germany. He was a tank driver with Company "C" and they were awarded TCQC distinguished crew. After serving 2 years, he moved to Deltona, FL where he enrolled at Florida Technical College. There he met his 1st wife, Marilyn L Tracy and they had a son.
He always enjoyed the outdoors, taking many camping, hunting and fishing trips. Some of his fondest memories were out fishing with his dad and beloved dog "Pepi" by his side. He enjoyed exercising, having completed numerous Gate River Runs. He had been a avid runner and triathlete. He was a devoted Catholic and member of Assumption Catholic Church. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Hoadley Dominy and Helen Roethele. He is survived by his son Michael T. Dominy.
