Stephen Hwang, D.D.S passed away peacefully September 30, 2014. Dr. Hwang practiced dentistry in Jacksonville, Florida during a career spanning 43 years before retiring. He was an active member of numerous dental organizations including the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Hwang was also an accomplished musician, singing tenor in the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus for many years. Dr. Hwang is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila, of 55 years; son, Allen Hwang and wife Valerie; daughter, Bessie Hwang; daughter, Carol Smith and husband Wilder; grandchildren, Erik and Kristen Hwang, and Carolyn, Edy, and Porter Smith. A celebration of his life will be held on October 5, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
