Sharon D. Johnson, 51, a Jacksonville native passed, away on June 26, 2013 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Selena D. Johnson, Kimberley L. Johnson, and daughter-at-heart, Abigayle P. Knisely, mother Anne R. Johnson, father-at-heart James H. Barker, brother Michael Jackson, sister-at-heart (cousin) Kathy Blackmon, sister- at -heart Dorri A. Barker, partner Jennifer L. Barker-Knisely, step-mother-at-heart Elizabeth Booth and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends she considered part of her extended family. Her four-legged children and grandchildren include: Rhea, Coach, Frasier, Barney, C-Lo and D’arbi. Sharon worked for the United Parcel Service (UPS) for 17 years and viewed many of her co-workers as family also. A lady of tremendous faith, she loved all aspects of nature. Being at the beach or by the water brought her great happiness and peace. Sharon enjoyed playing and watching women’s basketball and always held a special spark in her heart for motorcycles. She held family values the highest of all and always thought a simple hug was the most precious of all treasures. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the chapel (actual service starts at 6:00 pm).
