Sharon Elizabeth Gold, mother to Christopher and Savannah (RIP) Gold, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, after a long and challenging battle with colon cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully at her home in Jacksonville, surrounded by love, compassion and kindness.
Sherri was known for her tenacious fighting spirit, will to survive and was often referred to as a miracle patient by her many medical providers. She will be honored and missed by all who loved her. The Gold family ask that she be remembered for her unwavering daily bravery in the face of a fifteen-year cancer battle. To us who knew Sherri well, she was an example of what the body and mind can accomplish with love, compassion and a few wild women at your side.
Sherri is survived by her husband Dan, son Chris, sisters Sue and Theresa, brothers Frank, Joe and Mark, mothers Georgia, and Rhonda and her father Frank along with nieces and nephews. She treasured and loved everyone she called family.
