We were married and came to Jacksonville the same year Ron opened his shop.  We happened by on business that first year and started to talk.  We loved to talk prophecy - we were kindred spirits on that subject. Sometimes, he would close the store so we could have a long talk about what had been prophesied since the Garden and would soon occur on the Earth. 
When we had these discussions, Ron's eyes just lit up!  
Over the years, we would stop in -sometimes for business, sometimes just to say hello. 
Times change, we all change. Someone who left a memory described Ron as a hard man with a soft heart - perfect description. One look at that steady gaze and you knew both those things.  
Most importantly, he was a Christian, and it's so comforting to all   who believe and are born again to know that someday we will be with our Lord forever, and Ron will be there.  
When I saw Ron this past Christmas, our conservation was all about his family, and looking at the family photos, anyone can see his great love for them.  
God bless Ron's family and give them the peace and comfort in losing Ron that only God can give through His Son, Jesus Christ.   
We will miss you Ron -  until we see you again in Glory! 
 
  

I was so sorry to learn of Ron's passing, but he was a man of great faith and I know where he resides. I will never forget that he prayed for my son, and for me, when my son's life was in a shambles and I was having difficulty helping him. I met Ron in his shop because I am a stamp collector. He always helped and encouraged my hobby, and through the years became a good friend. He shared many stories with me, including his pride in his father, who served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He cared about me and my family. I will miss him.

Ron was a trusted businessman that i was honored to know for the past 20 years. I always gleened a little more wisdom and encouragement after visiting his store. Its not easy owning a business and cultivating friendships because the world measures you by how much the scales tilted in their favor, but Ron would encourage you. I know that he is in the presence of the Lord.

We are so sorry that Ron is no longer with us.  Ron is in a peaceful place with our Heavenly Father.  We met Ron years ago when we were looking for some collectibles.   I told Ron military stories,  and traded our 'stuff '.  Most all my collectibles are from Ron.  The last time we saw Ron,  my wife purchased some silver dollars and Ron gave me a small helicopter.  He was such an honest man with a good heart.  May his family know he touched many lives.   Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,

Ron and I did business together since 1987, Ron was always cheery, and had some word of wisdom weather I bought something or not. I always considered Ron as a friend. On one occasion I asked him about Vietnam era war medals, I showed him my ribbons an he gave me the corresponding medals. Ron always went out of his way to make me feel valued as a friend.


Ron and I had known each other for many years. First through the pawn industry and then as business neighbors. He was a hard man with a soft heart. I will miss my friend. He was never to busy to engage in a little chit chat or gossip you might say. Godspeed Ron Gordon, until we meet again.

Rest in Peace dear, sweet man.  May all of our broken hearts mend and may you soar with the Angels.
