Ron McDowell

Born and raised Jacksonville, Ron spent many years in Atlanta where he worked in the commercial window cleaning business. Most recently, as the owner of Windows Cleaned, he had many loyal customers in Atlanta, GA and Hilton Head Island, SC. Ron had a love of music and was an accomplished guitar player and even sang in the choir at Calvin Presbyterian Church where he attended for many years. He had a great appreciation for nature and loved being outside and was always willing to share this passion with others. Most of all, Ron loved his family and friends and was fiercely loyal – once a friend, always a friend.

Ron is survived by his mother and step-father, Peggy and Robert English; brothers, Richard A. McDowell and Thomas C. McDowell; step-brothers, Bobby English and Stephen English; and a beloved nephew, Luther Lee McDowell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Harvey McDowell.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00pm at Hardage-Giddens, Chapel Hills Funeral Home 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. North, Jacksonville, FL 32225 with the Rev. Earle Sickels officiating. A burial will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
