Robert was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed time spent in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for his family and maintaining his yard doing gardening and yardwork frequently. More of Robert’s hobbies included reading, specifically Stephen King novels, music, especially his favorite band, Rush, and supporting his favorite teams the New York Giants, New York Rangers, and the North Carolina Tarheels. He also took up the hobby of painting later in life. Many of his pieces of art can be found in the homes of his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all those who has the great pleasure to know him.
Robert’s loving and generous spirit continues to touch lives, it was his desire when he passed to have his physical body donated to the University of Florida’s College of Medicine where his body will help improve others’ quality of life. We as a family are comforted in our loss knowing that countless others will be given the potential for a cure thanks to his precious gift. A private service will be held for Robert on January 15, 2024. If desired, donations to V for Victory or The V Foundation on behalf of Robert would be appreciated.
