Robert Preston Ray (Bobby), 49, passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015. Bobby was born in Kailua, Hawaii to the late Preston Ray and Lynda Brooks Laird, and raised by his mother Lynda and stepfather, Danny Laird in LaPlace, Louisiana. Bobby was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Anita Ray and sons, Brandon Ray and his wife Lindsay, and Patrick Ray. Additional immediate family members include his stepfather Danny Laird and his wife Mary, and sister Jerusha Ray-Morehead.
Bobby joined the United States Navy when we was 17 years old and served proudly for 6 years. The joy of his life was unmistakably his wife Anita, and his family. He and his wife recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a once in a lifetime trip to Hawaii to visit his birthplace and made memories that will last a lifetime.
