Reuben "Alex" Wright, age 54, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Reuben, known as Alex to many family and friends, was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Rubin "R.P." Phelix Wright and Merlie Ann Porter Wright on November 15, 1969. Alex was a loved son, nephew, cousin, co-worker, and friend. Alex worked for TPH Parts as a driver. He enjoyed all types of cars, vehicles, liked the color green, and also had a love of school buses; he was also known to have a wonderful sense of humor.
Alex is preceded in death by his father, Rubin "R.P." Phelix Wright; and his brother, Anthony Drew Wright. He is survived by his mother, Merlie Wright; and is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends.
A visitation for Alex will be held Monday, October 21, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 21, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Pastor Richard Carney will serve as officiant of services.
