Rebecca "Becky" Jean Bowen

Rebecca “Becky” Jean Bowen of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Monday, June 24, 2019. She was born in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, February 1, 1942. She was married to Ralph William Bowen in December of 1978. She worked in accounting at several companies throughout her lifetime. Becky is dearly loved by her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.

Becky enjoyed reading romantic novels and listening to easy listening music. She preferred older black and white movies, especially those starring Shirley Temple. She loved to spend her time sewing and cross stitching, and she enjoyed gardening. When she wasn’t preparing her weekly shopping menu, you would catch her in the kitchen cooking up one of our family recipes or trying out something new. Becky loved preparing food for others and served it like it was going to be photographed and put in a magazine. Most holidays were spent at her house where she spent untold, countless hours making everyone’s favorite dish. She enjoyed collecting throughout her life-time, frogs, butterflies, dolls and bears.

Becky is survived by her husband, Ralph William Bowen, her children, Victor B. Duggar III, Jeffrey Scott Duggar (Angelica), Dana T. Burns (Jim), and James Christopher Duggar, her step-son Ralph Bowen Jr., and her grandchildren, James Duggar, Tyler Boyd Gordon, Connor Scott Gordon and Logan Duggar. She is also survived by her brothers, Robin Christy (Deloris) and Bill Christy (Carla).

A Visitation will be held at 10:00am, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11:00am, Saturday, July 6, 2019, and will be held at Greenlawn Chapel, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. A Gathering and Reception will follow services at Greenlawn Chapel.
