He graduated from Redlands High School, Class of 1940. Paul enlisted in the United State Navy at an early age and was trained as an Aviation Machinist Mate. He proudly served in World War II in New Caledonia, American Samoa and finally Fallon NAS, Nevada. He was honorably discharged in November, 1945.
At midnight on June 1, 1947, Paul married his sweetheart Janie Clark and subsequently attended St. Louis University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics on March 27, 1951. After graduation, Paul worked for Lockheed-Martin in Burbank, CA and was a civil engineer for the US Navy at NAS Jacksonville for thirty-one years before he retired.
Paul loved photography, was an avid square dancer, enjoyed traveling and was a private pilot. He was also Jacksonville’s Volunteer of the Year after retirement. Paul and Janie made homemade Christmas ornaments every year for friends. Paul was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane; parents, Joel and Myrtle Clark; brothers, James “Jay” Clark of Pahrump, NV; Lloyd Clark of Stockton, CA; David Clark of Porterville, CA; Chuck Clark of San Bernardino, CA; and Gilbert Clark of Stockton, CA; sisters Arlene Seasons of Modesto, CA and Lois Griffin of Modesto, CA.
Paul was the last member of his family.
