Patricia Parke Williams, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday September 1, 2021, surrounded by her family. Pat was born on January 28, 1930, to the late Charles Fleming Parke and Lucy Einig. She was raised in the Avondale/Ortega area in Jacksonville, Florida, and graduated from St Paul’s Catholic School Riverside. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining, cooking, and hosting many traditional family gatherings. Pat was an avid tennis player and was a team member of the Deerwood CC women’s tennis. After tennis, Pat resumed playing contract bridge three times a week up to her 91st birthday. Moreover, Pat loved her FSU Seminoles and enjoyed helping Coach Bobby Bowden win two of their three National Championships.
Pat is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Lewis Dale Williams (1st Lt, USAF) who passed away on April 9, 2018. She leaves behind her children, Linda Reed (Terry), Ted Williams and Julie Clary (Jay); grandchildren, Christopher Reed, Tyler Reed and Wesley Clary, including great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Pat was a member of a large family with brothers and sisters, Ted Parke (deceased), Jeannie Parke Long (deceased), Eugene (Bubba) Parke (deceased), Regina (Sis) Parke Schalon, Mary Parke Brown, Margie Parke, John Parke, Joseph Parke, and Matthew Parke. Lastly, Pat leaves behind her beloved kitties, Miss Kitty and Ring tale, but she will be re-united again with a large fury family, especially Ms. Jolie.
Pat touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, September 27 at Assumption Catholic Church located at 2403 Atlantic Boulevard. An Internment of Ashes will follow at 1:30 P.M. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery located at 4083 Lannie Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice.
