Pat had a life full of fun and adventure, a Jacksonville native who could recount many tales of our town through her decades. All that knew her were the beneficiaries of love, counsel that would make you better, wanted or not, and her special love language of food. She loved Eddie, her family and her friends more than anything along with North Carolina, Mexico, her garden and reading. If you were feeling down, you could count on Pat to set you straight and if lucky, help you find the perfect outfit to make all things right.
Pat, or Pattie-Mae to those closest to her, is predeceased by her parents, Florence and Bud Reid, her twin brothers, Bobby and Billy and her nephew, Gordon. She is survived by her spouse of 27 of her best years, Eddie, daughter Michelle Corse (Roger) and her niece Cindy Reid Bates (George) as well as her stepchildren Laura Powell Rowley, Bob Powell (JoAnn), Sheryl Johnson Dixon (Gary), Barbara Johnson Berlin (David) and Pam Johnson. She also had a host of “adopted” kids that completed her including her special daughter, Tracey Servos Vazzana. Pat’s life was full of amazing people who were with her at all times.
Pat’s life will be celebrated with family in a small gathering. If you would like to memorialize her loving life, please donate to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hgmandarin.com for the Powell family.
