Nancy was 75 years old and is survived by her two daughters Paula Anne Evert and Krissie Hugenroth Cole, her grandchildren Ahron Henderson, Seth Hugenroth and Kyle Hugenroth, her brothers John Nelson and Doug Nelson and her sisters Donna Nelson, Mary Hlavac, Norma Pippin, Janet Kreis, and Ann Frost.
Nancy grew up in Miami, Fl and graduated from Miami Central High School and then studied at Miami Dade Jr College while also serving as a reservist for the US Navy. Her accomplishments, business ideas, adventures, and collaborations are too many to mention, but to name a few:
She excelled as a salesperson, selling everything from horses to safety equipment. During the 70s and 80s she managed her family's successful Arabian Horse Ranch “Pebble Valley Arabians” in Verona, WI where her horses received numerous national awards.
Nancy embraced and connected with fellow boat lovers across the globe as a certified ship captain, and loved to travel. She was outgoing and her bright personality always would make her the life of the party. She zealously advocated for the rights of animals and is known by local animal rescue organizations for her many years of fostering dogs and volunteer work.
As an avid “Potterhead” Wizard and Scottish Highland Games aficionado Nancy infused the atmosphere and the lives of all those around her with energy, love, and positivity. She opened her heart and life to all without judgment. Her genuine compassion touched countless lives.
Our appreciation for her life will only grow. We are grateful to God for her life, legacy and the love she gave. May peace and love surround her in heaven.
