He attended Randolph County High School where he excelled academically and was the starting point guard (All American) for the Randolph County High School Red Devils.
He attended Howard University before joining the United States Air Force where he served as an Air Force medical technician(Aug 15, 1951). In 1950, he met his forever love, Charlie Mae Stephens who he married on June 3, 1956.
He would continue to work for the government until his retirement (November 30, 1955 through 1985).
Milton and his loving wife, Mae Jones, dedicated their lives to praying and the sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As the Co-Pastor of Holy Spirit Ministries of Jacksonville, Milton established the Holy Spirit Ministry Saturday School where he taught biblical truths from the old and new testaments.
He loved sports, sweets and authentic soul food.
Milton(Bobbie) Jones was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, godfather, pastor, layman and friend. Every day Milton exemplified Jesus’ first commandment-true love and acceptance of all people and this love radiated from the essence of his being.
Everyone loved his giving nature and will remember him as, “One of a Kind”. We celebrate the life of Milton Bobbie Jones.
He leaves behind his wife Charlie Mae Jones, son Chet Jones, grandchildren (Christian and Miles), numerous god children, cousins, extended family and friends.
