Mildred "Millie" S. Wilson

September 16, 2023. She was born September 25, 1933 in Chester, Pennsylvania to Charles D. Poole and Lillian Gladys Gray. She married the love of her life, Wesley Rufus Wilson on August 11, 1950 , who proceeded her in death in 1998.

Millie’s greatest love was her family to which she was devoted. She spent many hours crocheting blankets for all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many of their friends.

She enjoyed traveling and was proud of having visited every state in the USA. She loved life and brought a smile or a laugh to all those she met. Millie was known as Granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as the many young people who passed through her life. She loved spending time with them and enjoying the many activities they were involved in. She especially loved to impart life wisdoms, in own special way, to her kids and the many who called her Granny.

Millie was loved by all including her 5 children, Linda Oakley and husband Fred, Carol Young and husband Jim, Bill Wilson and wife Robin, Cathy Auld and husband Steve, Don Wilson and wife Gay, and her 14 grandchildren and their spouses and 23 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Mildred will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.

A Celebration of her Life will follow the visitation on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A committal service will take place immediately following the Chapel Ceremony at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
