Rev. Mildred Clark Bean (ret.), age 84, passed peacefully at home surrounded by loving family into the welcoming arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 30, 2022. She was born in Alamo, GA on May 5, 1938 to Herbert Clark and Susie Clark. She married Ralph J.W. Bean on July 30, 1955. She worked many years at Anchor Glass Container Corp. before retiring.
She served her Community for many years as Associate Pastor of Hunterdale Pentecostal Holiness Church in partnership with her husband of 66 years, Rev. Ralph J.W. Bean and later retired as Senior Pastor of BoB-O-Link Congregational Holiness Church.
Her many years of selfless devotion to the ministry helped lead countless souls to Christ, provided inspiration and guidance to young Christians, and mentored in a new era of future ministries that will continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ for many years.
A great woman of God, her legacy will live on for generations to come.
Her rewards will surely be great in Heaven.
Rev. Mildred is survived by daughter, Beth Hurd (David); son, Crockett Bean (Linda); daughter, Consuella King (Troy); daughter, Jovita Hudson (Blake); sisters, Jerlene Darnell and Lottie Farrell; brothers Lonnie Clark and David Clark (Tonie); 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Susie Clark; loving husband, Rev. Ralph J.W. Bean; daughter, Peggy Susanne Bean; brothers-in-law, James Darnell and John Farrell; and sister-in-law, Ann Clark.
A visitation for Mildred will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the visitation will be a funeral service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
