Mike was born on November 4, 1969 to Rivanne and Stanley Freeman in Jackson, MI. The family relocated to Ft. Myers, FL when Mike was still very young, but he always considered himself a Michigander at heart and made many trips back in his later years with his children to show them the Midwest.
After Mike graduated from Ft. Myers High School, he went on to study Emory University, and later attended medical school at University of Florida.
After receiving his medical degree he completed his obstetrics residency in St. Petersburg, FL where he met and married his wife of 24 years, Lani Freeman. They moved to Detroit, MI where he continued his studies with a fellowship for Reproductive Endocrinology at Wayne State University.
Mike moved to Jacksonville in 2002 with his wife Lani and their first child Brooke, where he and Lani continued to grow their family. He is survived by his wife, Lani Freeman, and his children Brooke, Rachel, and Jacob. As well as his parents Rivanne and Stanley Freeman, David Freeman (brother), Jennifer Boehm (sister).
Mike was a family man who enjoyed traveling, BBQ & bourbon, and bonfires with his friends. A celebration of his life will be held at Temple Ahavath Chesed on Sunday, March 5th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to Community Hospice and Palliative Care. http://www.communityhospice.com
