I miss you so much, dear friend. Life has not been the same without you. I know you are very missed. It's been nearly a year since I saw your sweet face.

I am so sadden to hear the loss of Matt.  May the pain you feel now be nothing compared to joy found within the memories of Matt.  I can't express how much I liked Matt.  He did always brag about his kids when I went to him with my taxes.  He was a dog lover as I am as well.  He was the nicest person I have ever met. My deepest condolences for your loss.

Matt was always so kind, funny, helpful, and brilliant. He was very easy to be around, and I looked forward to our yearly tax visit because he was such a cool guy! He would brag about his amazing children, share pictures, and even talk about future plans with them. I will always remember him fondly. Much love to his family. 

Matt was indeed a kind and gentle spirit. He was the apple of his dad’s eye. Matt will, no doubt, be greatly missed by his friends and family. It’s so sad to see our friends go ahead. I heard once that the best way to keep our loved one’s  memory alive is to remember them fondly and speak their name. Matt... Rest in peace honey and hug your daddy for us.

My Beloved Brother 💕 Matthew,     I will always remember your strong and gentle spirit. Just like Papa, you were so loving, caring, and kind. I will miss your sense of humor and your witty one liners! 😊 I remember how you used to sneak into my room at night and we would do a pinky hug good night. I remember our trips to Disneyworld and when you came to visit me in Gainesville. We had so much fun! I remember one Valentine's Day when you were about four. Papa brought little Valentine's gifts for Nori and me and you didn't understand why you didn't get a gift. So Papa said he forgot your gift at the office and he went out and got you a little car. 💗 I remember when you turned seventeen and your gift was a little hot wheels car, a white Mustang. You weren't too thrilled until you saw a white Mustang in the driveway! I remember your wedding and the joy that filled your heart when Rachel and David were born. But most of all, I remember how much I loved you. I will always love you. You will hold a special place in my heart for all eternity. Rest in peace with Papa my precious brother. I will think of you with love every day. 💕💕💕

My mother notified me this morning of the passing of Matt.  We are both saddened by this unexpected news.  Although we did not know Matt very well, we knew him well enough to know that he had a very kind and calm nature.  Sending our deepest condolences to The Hochman Family.  May his memory be a blessing for you all.

The loss of Matt will bring sadness to all of us for a very long time.  I will miss him always and his memory will live in my heart.

I remember when Matt was born and there was such excitement everywhere.  He evened up the playing field at last.  Ralph now had his little sidekick (his little clone),  to help deal with all the ladies in the house.  Love was everywhere.

Matt made such a mark on the world when he had his beautiful Daughter Rachel and his Handsome Son, David.  He could not have been prouder of them.  He had every right; they are smart, loving children who will contribute greatly to society.

So, my dear Nephew, you are missed, you are loved and never to be forgotten.  Your gentle soul touched everyone who knew you.

I believe Matt is safe, happy, and healthy.  He is also with his Beloved Father, Ralph.

Matt was always so kind and gentle just like his father.
I remember when Matt and my brother, David, were constantly getting into trouble at Hebrew School at the Jax Jewish Center.  Those poor teachers had their hands full.  
Matt will be greatly missed.  

My heart is saddened with the passing of Matt, his family means so much to me. I was blessed with the opportunity to participate in his marriage a few years back. It was the first Jewish Wedding I had ever done and it was so much fun. The next thing I knew there were glasses getting broken and a party broke. I will never forget that time. God Bless you Matthew. RIP

I'm so sorry for the loss of Matt. He was a good father and a good man. I will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you Shirley and the entire family.

      When I first met Matt, a little over ten years ago,   I instantly liked him.   His friendly, soft manner and sincere smile made me feel welcome to the family.   
     Periodically, I would help with projects he needed to be done.  Sometimes I would make a mistake and worry about the outcome of the project.  Matt would calmly tell me not to concern myself, that it will look great when we are done.
  I never heard Matt raise his voice or say a harsh word.  He was a man that I strived to be like.  Everyone loved Matt.  
  He was a master of quick-witted humor.  He would say three words in a room where everyone's mood was quiet.  laughter would fill the room.
   To me, Matt has not really gone away.   I carry him in a  special place in my heart as I do his Papa.


Matt....Always a kind , caring  and loving father, son, husband who had so much more time on this earth to show his friends and family what its like to be a true  human being and man that wiuld do anything for anyone that surrounded him....his life was taken from us too early, but memories will be remembered for the rest of our lifetime ....your cousin Rubin, Rest in peace....love you

I remember when Matthew was born he was like the "Rock Star". The firstborn son in the Hochman family.  I will always cherish many memories of him most of them in his younger days. 
I remember the joy and excitement that Malkah and Nori  had  to have a brother. 
I remember as Matthew got older meeting Melanie ,and  having two beautiful children that Ralph and Shirley love like their own. 
The relationship that Matthew had with Rachel and David was one of a proud loving father.
Matthew and Ralph had a very close relationship,  especially that they worked together closely for many years.
Matthew,  had a loving kind way about him and was the kind of brother any sister would want to have. 
Matthew, you made your mark in the world while you were here.
Just wish it hadn't ended so soon. 
Your life will be remembered forever and your children, your Mother and sisters will carry out all that you would 
have wished for your family. 
The only thing that brings the slightest comfort is that you are now back with your papa. I love you Matthew forever. Sharon

Matt, your wings were ready, but sadly our hearts were not.    It was a  privilege being your cousin for 51 yrs.   I have many fond memories of you that I will treasure forever.   From the energetic young child tagging along with his Father at Hochman's Dept. Store ,  to having the pleasure of attending your beautiful wedding,   to  seeing your greatest accomplishment when your children were born.   You brought many Blessings to your family that will continue on.  My solace is knowing you have reunited with your sweet Father again and I pray God brings much comfort and peace  to your family.  I will cherish our last exchanges and hold them close to my heart!  Love you Matt!    

Matt, I'm at a loss brother it's hard to get news that you're no longer here amongst friends/family whom loved you the most especially your mother, and children!  I pray for comfort for any/all who had the experience of encountering your kind spirit.  I promised you earlier this year that Wendy, you and I would get together grab a few drinks and play catch up talking about our children, life and our new strategies yet until we meet again rest peaceful.  


Matt was a true and reliable friend for over a decade, and he was a brilliant accountant. We take comfort that he is at his father's side, and we send wishes of peace and healing for his mother and children. 

I am so sorry for your loss! May God receive him in his glory and may he be at peace along his Dad Ralph. I have known Matt for over 14yrs. He was more than just my accountant, he was a good friend. I will always remember his sense of humor and his laid back personality. He always went above and beyond. He was a brilliant man. I admired his intelligence with the numbers. May he rest in peace.

Shirley you know our hearts are broken.  We have know Matthew all his life.  He was a sweet kind boy and man.  Please know you and all the family are in our prayers.
