Mary Ann “Memaw” Woods, at the age of 83, peacefully, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening October 7, 2024. She was born on September 11, 1941 in Tennessee and lived most of her life in the state of Florida. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife and most of all mother and grandmother who was always there when she was needed most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance to her family and friends.
Mary Ann led an adventurous life travelling the USA and the world. Her career path included Bank Administrative Assistant, Flight Attendant, and successful Retail Consultant in the Gift Industry.
Mary Ann leaves behind her husband of 14 years, William Taft Woods; her children, Natalie Gardner of Pahoa, HI, Tal Jones (Marcia) of Summerland Key, FL, Judy (Joe) Anderson of Fernandina Beach, FL, Chuck (Marilyn) Reckner of Grants Pass, OR; her sister Lisa Stokes of Mount Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Allison Gardner, Ross Gardner, Garrett Jones; niece and nephew, Jennifer (Casey) Johnston, Chandler (Callie) Stokes.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Richard Reckner; her parents, Warren G. and Mary Rose Williams and her brother Warren Dale Williams.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Riverside Memorial Park and Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews at https://help.ifcj.org.
Mary Ann will be greatly missed as she touched so many lives during her 83 year journey. She will be forever remembered and loved by her family and those close to her.
