After he returned from WWII, Bill and Mary established their home in Jacksonville, Florida where Mary gave birth to and raised their four children. They were charter members and very active in Lakewood United Methodist Church.
Mary was widowed at 45 and later married Earl Hall. Together they blended their families and accepted all 7 children, plus grandchildren as their own. They were active in the Shriners, enjoyed their travels, and get-togethers with family and friends.
Mary loved gardening and found her niche in the Garden Store Business for forty plus years. She was employed at Levy’s Garden Store, Brookins Nursery, and then Phillips Garden Store where she remained for 25 years. She retired at the age of 85, considering her co-workers as family.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Earl Hall; brother Tommy Smith, son Billy Ray Foltz and sons Ray and Rungi Hall. Survivors include Brothers: Samuel Smith (Pat) and Archie Smith, Jr. (Debi). Sisters: Sylvia Breda (Jay) and Arlene Redmer (Tim). Children: Lynda Hughes (Bill), Barbara Woodworth, Louise Daniel, Buddy Hall (Sharon) and Shirley Foltz (Daughter-N-Law). Grandchildren: Bill Hughes (Jill), Jessica Luciano (Fred), Kimberlee other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
