Martha D. Brooks, age 78, passed away February 26, 2017 in Orange Park, Florida. Martha was born on August 13, 1938 in Odom, Georgia to Johnny and Eloise Bennett. Her favorite things in life were chocolate kisses, chewing gum, and her love of Jesus. She loved to sing Christian music. Martha was a retied Director of a Christian daycare center. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who be missed dearly by her loved ones and those who lives she touched.
Martha is survived by her husband, Carl Brooks; two daughters, Debbie Richardson (Kenny) and Sherry Kibler; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and two sisters and two brothers. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Jenkins; one grandson, Joseph Edward Kibler; and one brother, David Bennett.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at Town and Country Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30p.m. on Tuesday. The family will begin gathering at the Jacksonville National Cemetery by 2:00p.m. in Lane 2. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Ryan Loyd will officiate the services.
