Marjorie grew up in Jacksonville, FL and attended local schools. She worked for many years at Kuhn’s Florist.
Marjorie married Douglas Dees in 1956 and they had one son, Allan Dees. She was very active in her church. She loved her family and spent time with them whenever she could. Her grandchildren were her life. Marjorie was a loving sister, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marjorie Rolfe; husband, Douglas Dees; son, Allan Dees; infant daughter, Harriette; and great-granddaughter Leigha.
She is survived by her sister, Harriette Watford; brother, Bill Rolfe; grandchildren, Douglas Dees and wife Megan, Joshua Dees, Kelcie Hall; great-grandchildren, Ashlinn Dees, Jack and Sebastin, Meeds and Travis Griffith.
A visitation for Marjorie will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Westside Baptist Church, 7775 Herlong Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32210. A funeral, conducted by Pastor Ray Mayfield, will occur Friday, December 13, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 7775 Herlong Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32210. A committal service will occur Friday, December 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 N Edgewood Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32219.
