A graduate of Enlow Magnet High School, he went on to join the U.S. Navy. He served honorably as a Culinary Specialist at Naval Station Argentia Newfoundland as well as aboard the USS Philippine Sea. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service medal, the Navy Battle E ribbon and the Overseas Service ribbon. He then went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Marc was employed at Alta Equipment Company. He worked in the parts department where he enjoyed driving the forklift. He was the former Vice Chair of the Duval County Libertarian Party and a Cub Scout leader. He greatly enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. He loved to play Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire the Masquerade and Magic the Gathering. A huge fan of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Marc would often be found at the baseball park cheering on his favorite team. A sci-fi enthusiast, he collected comic books as well as Superman, Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia.
Marcus is survived by his wife, Kristin; son, Jack; father John; and brother, Adam.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Cecillia.

A celebration of life for Marcus will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home - Mandarin Chapel, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. The family will receive friends starting at 1pm until service time.
