Lorna Brown Libby, age 95, passed away on September 10, 2024, of congestive heart failure. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to Carl and Glayds Smith. Lorna is predeceased by her husband Lew after 58 years of marriage and her eldest son Larry. She is survived by her middle son Lee of Lake Butler and her daughter Lynne of Jacksonville Florida. She had 4 grandchildren, Josh, Danielle, Haley and Carley. And she had 3 great grandchildren, Avery, Jason, and MacKenzie.
Lorna grew up in Gloucester, Massachusetts, then graduated from Wayne and Jewell College with a teaching degree. Later in life after having three children, she went back to school and graduated from the University of North Florida with a master’s degree in special education. Lorna was a very fun lady that lived life to the fullest. Lorna has been to the Oscars, The Masters, and the Kentucky Derby several times. Lorna loved new foods and adventures.
Lorna will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Rest in Peace Mom.
