Leona M. Cox, 99, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 in Orange Park, FL. She was born November 8, 1914 to Peter and Mary Louise in Newark, NY. Leona loved flowers and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hope Frank Cox, one son Ronald D. Cox, one brother Arthur Blondell, two sisters, Florence Blakenburg and Margaret Lagner. Leona is survived by three sons Roger (Paulette) Cox, Richard (Terry) Cox, Robert D. (Carol) Cox, one daughter Mary (Don) Barnard, one brother Kenneth (Betty) Blondell, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 10:00-10:30am in the chapel. Funeral services to follow at 10:30am at graveside of Riverside Memorial Park.
