He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence S. and Charlotte (Van Hook) Williams and a half-brother Stephen T. Rodman.
He is survived by his life partner Kristen Clay; a half-brother Charles (Jacque) Rodman; a sister Charlotte (Milton) Byrd and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was a U.S. Navy veteran and after his military service was employed by the United States Postal Service until his retirement. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Master’s degree in history and for a time he taught history at Florida State College of Jacksonville’s Kent Campus.
He was a member of Christ Church Jacksonville Anglican and had previously been active in the Cursillo movement of the Episcopal Diocese of Florida.
Pat was an avid Florida Gator fan, especially Gator Football, and enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches and hamburgers during his residency at Ortega Gardens, a special care facility for those living with Alzheimer’s disease.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Pat to Christ Church Jacksonville Anglican, 9917 103rd St., Jacksonville, FL 32210.
