Kenny was born into a family deeply rooted in the traditions of NE Florida. His upbringing instilled in him a strong work ethic and a love for his girls. Kenny’s 9 offspring are all girls. He often joked that his only grandsons were the family dogs. Beyond his role as a father, Kenny was always a man’s man, known for his generosity, and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on those around him. Kenny had a passion for life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing and shrimping on the St. Johns River or cheering on his favorite NASCAR driver. His love for his hometown and its traditions was evident. Kenny leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and sometimes toughness that will be cherished by all who knew him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence.
He is survived by three daughters, Meshell Menon Perry (Brent), Kellyann Shaw Costanzo, and Kristen Emmalee Shaw; 4 granddaughters, Savannah Schumm (Josh), Katelynn Gaffney (Matt), Alyssa Dixon (Sheldon), and Sophia Norton; two great granddaughters, Connor Jade Schumm and Logan Bea Schumm; and one great niece, Reba Phillips.
A Celebration of Kenny's life will be held at Hardage Giddens Mandarin Chapel on Sunday, April 21, 2024, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the joy and love he brought to the world. Kenny will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he leaves behind.
