June Pitts

June Latrelle Pitts, born on June 28, 1932, passed peacefully on August 29, 2020 into the loving arms of Jesus. She was a loving mother of six children, showing much love and attention while putting up with their foibles and adventures. She instilled in her children a great sense of Christian values, strong work ethic and personal integrity. In addition to raising six children, she worked as a waitress, office manager of Diamond Fence Co. and owner of a craft store. In her healthier years she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. June loved people and was always the first to jump in to help someone in need. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Pitts, two sons-in-law, Ted Benedix and Donnie Cope, and her grandson, Jessy Pitts. June is survived by her six children, Larry Pitts (Lona), Gwen Benedix, Stanley Pitts (Phyllis), Jerry Pitts (Marcia), Denise Cope, Tony Pitts (Theresa) and her eleven grandchildren, Larry W. Pitts, Wesley Pitts, Clay Benedix, Jennifer DePratter, Misty Behney, Mari Pitts, Gamble Pitts, Marcia Lindsey, Donnie Cope Jr, Nicole Hanley, Shannon Shaner as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery. A graveside service will be held for June on Friday, September 4, 2020, at 10:30 am at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Cemetery.
