Joe retired as a Master Sergeant with the US Air Force after 22 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion. He loved spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Patricia M. Callahan, he is survived by his children, Joseph P. Callahan, Jr. (Becky), James M. Callahan (Debbie), Jane M. Berge (Paul), Russell J. Callahan, and Colleen M. Parkhurst (Michael); brothers, Jack Callahan and Russell Callahan; sister, Candy Wilson; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Deacon Kevin Boudreaux as Officiant, followed by interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
