Jorge Catinidig Ocampo, 69, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 27, 2018. Born in Manila, Philippines to Juanito and Marcelina Ocampo, he emigrated in 1971 to New York City, New York USA. He married Aurora Ocampo in 1972 in the Philippines and they lived in New York where they raised their three boys until they moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1990.
Jorge worked for TVC Laboratories and Kyto Laboratories up until he moved to Jacksonville. He started working at Vistakon in the 90’s and finished his career with Kraft Foods when he retired in 2015.
He was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Ft. Caroline Road. He loved to spend time with his kids and grand-kids. Jorge also enjoyed watching classic movies and sports especially the Jacksonville Jaguars. He traveled the world throughout his life with his wife before her passing late last year.
Jorge is survived by his three sons; Rick and his wife Sybil, Chris and his wife Beth, Jorge (Jojo) and his wife Christian, and his four grandchildren Richie, Elena, Allie and Jayden. He is also survived by his siblings Lulu, Alice and Nancy as well as his many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Jorge was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
