John B. Mills, 79, of Jacksonville, passed away on February 8, 2014 at 3:45 am following a short illness. Mr. Mills was born in Savannah, Georgia on July 21, 1934. Before his death, he worked for the Department of Transportation for 18 years, retiring in 1988. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 53 years, Billie Mills; his daughters, Tana Mills (Mike) and Lisa (Lyle) Cassell his sister, Loilette (Harvey) Simmers; three grandchildren, Eric, and Sean Anderson and Kristi (Jay) Whittemore; and one great-grandchild, Karsin. He will be sorely missed. A visititation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com.
