Joe Ann Wilcox

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announced the passing of our beloved mother, Joe Ann Wilcox, who passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, at the age of 85, with her son by her side. She was the daughter of late Martha Sears and Perry Miller.

Joe Ann was preceded in death by her parents, twelve siblings, sons Joseph, Terry, daughter Angie, and granddaughter Teresa.

She is survived by four sons Jimmie, Thurman, Robert (Darlene) and Timmothy (Tanya), nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and just recently found out she was expecting her first great-great grandchild.

She loved all of her boys, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved going to church, traveling, watching the Gator football games and spending time with her family. Joe Ann will forever be remembered for the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the legacy she leaves behind. She touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Visitation for Joe Ann will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A Funeral Service will occur Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
