James Roger Jones

James Roger Jones, 76, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born August 28, 1941 to James and Thelma Jones in Highpoint, NC. James loved to go fishing, from sunup to sunset he would be on the water catching all the fish he could. He especially loved spending time with his family. James is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gayle, children Paige (Kevin) Corder, Julie (Ray) Kopechek, Robert (Lindsey) Jones, Joy (Jon) Smith, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Jerry Jones, sister Joann Jones, brother Larry Jones, sister Dawn Tilley as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, March 16, 2018 beginning at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
