James Croy VanLandingham, Jr., 61, passed away June 21, 2011. He was born in Akron, Ohio, son of the late James Croy VanLandingham, Sr. and Anita Lee (Jones) VanLandingham. Jimmy moved to Jacksonville as a toddler and attended Wolfson High School. He graduated from Emory University and returned to Jacksonville where he worked at Florida Air Conditioners Inc. For the past 15 years he served as president of Shred It First Coast. Jimmy was an avid traveler and visited many foreign countries. He was a faithful sports fan and enjoyed following politics. Jimmy was very devoted to his family and friends.
Surviving are a brother, Dr. Robert E. Jungman, sister-in-law, Camille, nephew, Dr. Robert James Jungman and his wife, Dr. Jessemy Jungman, Cathy VanLandingham, step mother and her family, Judy and Jay Alfono and Rusty and Sylvia Owens, dear cousins and good friends.
A Celebration of Jims life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 26, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
