Doug was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 34 years: Melba Dobyns, his son: Joe Dobyns, grandsons: Ben and Matthew, and great grandson Memphis.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Dobyns, children: Claudia (Jason Shacklette), Brian (Debbie Dobyns), Judy (Robert Manning), Kitty (Joey Usina), Lynn Heath, Cindy Timmering, and Stacey Adams.
Grandchildren: Jessica, Toni Jane, Kayci, Ashley, Lindsey, Heather, David, Connor, Zach, Samantha, Jacob, Catlin, Jade, Chase and Barbra.

Doug was a fervent blood donor, donating 60 gallons of blood over the course of his lifetime. He retired from the Navy Depot, Jax., FL and worked as a machinist and machinist programmer. He also proudly service in the US Army, the Navy Reserves, and the Air Force Reserves. He was a graduate of Perdue University.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.
