James was a loving father, grandfather and devoted husband of 58 years to Theresa Marie Vicari (d.) He joined Theresa in heaven 3 days before their 62nd anniversary James brought smiles to everyone who met him and he loved life until the very end.
James was predeceased by his loving wife Theresa, his parents, and brother Robert, his brother’s wife/widow Carole Butler lives in Naples, FL. James is survived by his son, Kenneth James Butler of Portland, OR as well as daughter Judith Robinson and son-in-law Michael "Chris" Robinson of Jacksonville, FL. He leaves behind 4 grandchildren; Austin and Alex Butler, Zach and Kirby Robinson. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews; Donna, Bobby, David,and John Butler, Jessie Polyard, Ann Marie, Vincent, Delores and Steve, Scott, Tommy, Jimmy and Joy Vicari. Brother in law Bobby and Mary Vicari and sister in law Jeanette Polyard. The family would like to thank the nurses and loving staff at Heartland Hospice and Wyndham Lakes Assisted Living facility for making his last year happy and comfortable
In honor of his service in the U.S. Army, James will be interred at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
