Jack D. Hudson, 86, was called home January 10, 2016.
Born in rural Georgia on October 11, 1929, Jack joined the Navy at 17 and served his country for 24 years. Upon retirement he sought a degree at the University of North Florida and retired from Jim Walter Paper Co.
He is survived by daughter Jackie Hudson; Grandchildren Caitlin Schumacher, Stephen Schumacher and Collin Schumacher; brother John W. Hudson, sister Nell Futch; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sue Hudson and beloved son Raymond Keith Hudson and by brothers Clower Hudson and Bobby Hudson.
The family will receive visitors Fri, Jan 15 from 6:30 – 7:30pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 Edgewood Ave.
Funeral services will be held on Sat, Jan 16 at 11am at Shepherd of the Woods Lutheran Church, 7860 Southside Blvd.
