Inez Cashwell

Inez C. Cashwell, age 99 years entered her heavenly home on April 11, 2022 in Palatka, Florida. Inez was born in the family home in Charleston, SC on February 27, 1923 to John W. Carson and Grace O. Carson both of whom predeceased her. Inez was retired from Federal Civil Service and was a member of Christ Church Anglican in Jacksonville, FL. After relocating to Palatka in 2017 to live with her daughter, she regularly attended Christ Independent Methodist Church. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Inez took great pleasure in spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Inez is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Elton Cashwell and sisters Grace [Dint] Brogli, Helen Tate and Betty Miner. She is survived by her brother Dr. John W. Carson, Jr [Wylene], her daughters and sons- in- law, Jeannie and Bill Myers and Pegi and Ray Grubbs. She is also survived by three grandsons Michael Myers, Mark Myers and Blair Francis and a step-granddaughter Holly Maupin and husband Craig. Surviving great grandchildren are Ashton Myers, Will Myers, Luke Myers and Andie Douglas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday, April 18th, 2022 at 12pm with 1 hour prior visitation in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Canon Mark Eldredge officiating.

In keeping with Inez’s wishes the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
