Herbert Guy Brown, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday. December 2, 2011. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Harold and Carrie Brown. Herb was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church. Herb retired from the NAS Jacksonville Fire Department after 34 years.
He is survived by his wife Jeannie Faye Brown after many years of marriage; sons Corey Eugene Brown (Sara); Kenneth Mabry (Laura); daughters Cherie Wilson (Luis Sanchez); Cindi Carter (Steven); brother David Brown (Mary); sisters Paulette Lester (Ron); Yvette Legge (George); grandchildren Trevor, Logan, Wyatt, Josh, Lauren, Meghan, Ian and Camri; great-grandchildren Alexa and Audrey.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday, December 4, 2011.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2011 all located at Town and Country Funeral Home officated by Pastor Larry McGinley. Burial will follow to Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida.
